This dataset counts C-NRPP credentials by type and by province or territory. We counted them from C-NRPP’s Find a Professional directory, pulled on the date shown with the data. No official national count of C-NRPP credentials is published. No names are in the data.

Measurement and mitigation credentials are counted separately

Each row is one credential type in one province or territory. There are four types: measurement (CRT), mitigation (CRMT), new-construction installer and inspector (CRNCH), and laboratory (CAL). Measurement and mitigation are separate certifications. A person may hold both, and each one is counted, so one person can appear in more than one count.

Counts come from a dated check of the C-NRPP registry

We count every certification listed in C-NRPP’s Find a Professional directory on the pull date. That includes people listed with no company name. A professional’s province is the province of their listed address.

We do not use older published counts that we could not verify from a public, independent source. Until C-NRPP’s reuse terms are cleared, this dataset carries no licence statement, since every count is drawn from its directory.

Expired credentials drop out of the active count

A credential is active while its expiry date is on or after the pull date. After that, it is counted as lapsed for as long as the directory still lists it. Certifications renew every two years, and a credential that is not renewed moves to the lapsed count at the first pull after it expires.

The CSV and JSON downloads carry the same counts as the table. Each pull keeps its own dated copy.
