C-NRPP certified radon companies in Canada

This dataset holds one record for each C-NRPP certified company in Canada. Each record comes from a pull of C-NRPP’s Find a Professional directory, on the date shown with the data. The names and personal contact details of individual professionals are never in the data or its downloads.

Every certified company is listed, whether or not it pays

Every certified company in C-NRPP’s directory gets a record here, free. Payment never changes a record, its place in the list or its status. A company with no active credential stays in the dataset with its status shown. It drops out of the directory and out of the counts on place pages.

The registry does not say what kind of organization each company is, such as a lab or a government body. That is not a field in the dataset yet.

Measurement and mitigation are separate credentials

C-NRPP certifies measurement and mitigation separately. It also certifies new-construction installers and inspectors, and labs. A company may hold one kind of credential and not the other. Certification is voluntary in every province.

Each record shows the services the registry lists for the company, including residential and commercial work. It also shows how many credentials the company’s listed professionals hold, both active and in total. People listed with no company name are counted only in the credentials dataset, which counts credentials by type and province.

Each record carries the date of its registry check

Each record shows the date of the registry check it comes from. A company is active when one of its listed professionals holds a credential that has not expired on that date. Otherwise it is lapsed. We work this out from the expiry dates, and nothing is typed by hand.

The CSV and JSON downloads come from the same rows as the table, with a dated copy for each pull. Because the records come from C-NRPP’s directory, this dataset carries no licence statement until C-NRPP’s reuse terms are cleared. Every record cites the registry pull as its source.
