This study measures how far Canadians live from a business certified to fix radon, called a mitigator. It reports the share of people within 25, 50 and 100 km of the nearest mitigator’s office, for every census division, every province and Canada. It is the Index’s own data, built from three public sources.

A new edition comes out each year

We repeat the study every year. Each edition is a dated page under this one, and this page keeps the same address. Each edition holds:

  • findings
  • method
  • sample
  • limitations
  • charts and data
  • downloads and citation

Every certified business is counted, free

We count every business with an active C-NRPP credential, from C-NRPP’s public directory. Payment, claiming a listing or a badge never changes a count.

The data comes partly from C-NRPP’s directory. Until C-NRPP clears reuse, the study’s data carries no licence statement.
